Kids Play in Patterson Park (KPIPP) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded in 2021 to raise funds through various means to enhance the lives of children, by contributing to athletic and recreational activities in Patterson Park. In addition to community services contributing to needs of the children.
The KPIPP organization has been formed as the result of great neighborhood friends and family whom decided it would be great to reconnect. In 2014 Adele Speca LeCompte and Debbie Williams discussed how great it would be to have a reunion to reconnect all of us who gathered at the “Curley Inn”. With that conversation, a few volunteers and Bob Wall‘s assistance we booked a room at the Duburn’s Arena. What a wonderful gathering that turned out to be. This reunion in 2014 was planned with a small simple approach with the hopes of it continuing to grow bigger and better. Our yearly reunions since 2014, did grow with great leaps and bounds, taking on the title of "Highlandtown Reunion" organized by the “Old Curley Inn Crowd”. The committee decided that we needed to make good use of the proceeds. The one thing all of us who gather at these reunions had most in common was our love for Patterson Park. We had the pleasure of participating in sports, watching games, running, biking, ice skating and fishing and so much more. With that we decided to donate the net proceeds to the non-profit “Friends of PattersonPark”. In 2021 we formed a nonprofit KPIPP. “Kids Play in Patterson Park”. We now make donations directly to the organizers of the program supporting the activities.
Your generous donation will fund our mission. Your support and contributions enables us to enhance the lives of children by providing free athletic and recreational activities in Patterson Park.
